About Me
Hi I’m Claire,
I'm a registered paediatric dietitian and a mum of two. I've recently moved to Bristol with my husband, children and our border terrier Ben E.

Having just moved house, to avoid unpacking more boxes, I'm either out on a walk with Ben E. or making plans to start my vegetable patch in the garden.

Also, I'm a BIG fan of the colour green, my kids have banned me from buying any more houseplants and I love going out for afternoon tea.
My dietetic experience

After qualifying as a Dietitian in 2008 from Coventry University with a BSc Hons in Nutrition and Dietetics, I worked in the NHS for over 10 years with adults and children in a variety of specialities, such as neurology and type 2 diabetes. Since specialising in paediatrics I've helped hundreds of families with their dietary needs for fussy eating, allergies and faltering growth.

I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, the regulator of health and care professions in the UK. This ensures I adhere to certain standards of conduct, performance, ethics and proficiency.

I am also a member of the British Dietetic Association and the Starting Solids Network. And this ensures I stay up to date with latest research and best practice.

My freelance dietetic experience

It was my experience of becoming a parent and starting solids with both my kids, that led me to set up Raising Happy Eaters 4 years ago. I wanted to focus more on supporting parents at the beginning of their starting solids journey with their babies.

In the workshops I run, I have been working with parents who are curious, open minded and have a thirst for knowledge.
Using a kind and non-judgemental approach, I embrace each individual's personal situation and family lifestyle to provide straightforward, practical advice.

My aim is to ensure that you feel listened to and supported with the decisions you make about how you feed your baby.
